About the Practitioner

Sydney Bebb-Walker, Lic. Ac., M.T.

"I draw upon the variety of traditions that I have learned in the field of healing arts, bringing the best that I can to each patient with the goal of encouraging joyful, healthy, authentic living."

Sydney is licensed to practice Chinese Medicine by the State of California. She is a graduate of The San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, 1984. There she was introduced to a rich array of traditions. She has taken advantage of opportunities to study with many of the great practitioners and educators in the field of Asian medicine.

In 1999, she completed a three-year postgraduate program in Five Element Acupuncture with the master practitioner Khosrow Khalighi, and was fortunate to be able to study with Professor J.R. Worsley, the creator of this particular form of treatment. She continues ongoing study with another talented healer and educator of the 5 Element tradition, Niki Bilton, and other mentors in the tradition of Chinese medicine.

Sydney is also a certified massage therapist and intuitive energy healer, weaving these skills into the treatment as needed. She brings over 25 years of professional training and experience in the healing arts to her work. She is devoted to offering the best she can to every patient; listening on many levels to discern the treatment that will bring the most benefit at the present moment and treatment planning for long term health.

A big sister and mother of two, she has a natural rapport with children and youth. She studied extensively with Ba and Josette Luvmour of the Encompass Institute to further understand the emotional, physical, cognitive, interpersonal and spiritual development of the child and the development of human consciousness.

She has undergraduate training in East Indian vocal music with Laxmi Tewari, classical violin and folk music of many traditions, which informs her work with sound and music.
